HariesDesign.Com Secara singkat, AdSense adalah layanan iklan yg dimiliki oleh Google, dimana para pemilik situs dapat memasang iklan tersebut di situs2 mereka dan mendapatkan penghasilan tambahan. Iklan yg muncul bermacam-macam jenisnya, bisa berupa teks, gambar, bahkan video; namun yg pasti, semuanya menggunakan sistem kontekstual (contextual), dimana iklan tersebut akan relevan atau sesuai dengan isi halaman dimana iklan tersebut dipasang. Perhatikan contoh gambar no 1 di atas.
Seluruh iklan disimpan di server milik Google sendiri, sehingga kita tidak perlu menyediakan ruang khusus di server kita untuk AdSense, ataupun meng-upload file-file tertentu. Cukup dengan menyisipkan kode JavaScript yg diberikan pada halaman situs kita saja kita sudah dapat menikmati hadirnya iklan AdSense di situs kita.
Bagaimana kita mendapatkan uang?
Seperti disebutkan di atas, dengan memasangkan iklan AdSense di situs mereka, pemilik situs memperoleh kesempatan untuk mendapatkan penghasilan tambahan. Bagaimana caranya?
Tidak sulit. Yg perlu Anda, sebagai pemilik situs, lakukan adalah menunggu (dan berdoa) agar ada pengunjung yg meng-klik iklan2 tersebut. Ya, cukup dengan meng-klik saja, otomatis Anda, sebagai publisher AdSense, akan mendapatkan sejumlah uang yg nilai bagiannya diperhitungkan dari besarnya bid yg telah ditentukan oleh si pemasang iklan (advertisers). Meskipun ada faktor2 lain yg mempengaruhi, secara umum, bagian yg diperoleh publisher adalah 20% dari nilai bid.
Setelah Anda mendaftarkan diri di Google AdSense dan diterima, Anda akan mendapatkan akses ke Member Area Google AdSense. Di situ, selain tersedia tool untuk men-generate kode iklan yg dibutuhkan, juga terdapat halaman Report yg mencantumkan perolehan pendapatan Anda beserta jumlah klik yg didapatkan, jumlah tampilan iklan, dan info2 penting lainnya.
Bagaimana pembayarannya?
Pembayaran akan dilakukan 30 hari setelah total pendapatan Anda dalam satu bulan mencapai minimal $100. Jadi apabila bulan Februari ini Anda memperoleh $100, maka penghasilan Anda tersebut akan dikirimkan pada akhir bulan Maret. Untuk Indonesia, pembayaran akan dikirimkan dalam bentuk cek dan Anda dapat memilih untuk menggunakan jasa pos ataupun DHL (Express Delivery) dalam proses pengiriman tersebut.
Jika menggunakan jasa pos, waktu pengiriman biasanya paling cepat adalah 20-25 hari (tergantung lokasi Anda). Sedangkan, jika menggunakan DHL, cek sudah akan Anda terima dalam waktu 2-3 hari kerja. Jangan lupa, Anda biaya sebesar $24 jika Anda memilih menggunakan sistem Express Delivery, dimana biaya tersebut otomatis akan dipotong dari penghasilan kita.
Bagaimana potensi penghasilan?
Tidak terbatas! Banyak publisher AdSense yg telah memperoleh ribuan bahkan puluhan ribu dollar per bulannya. Di Indonesia sendiri, publisher AdSense dengan penghasilan ribuan dollar per bulan sudah bukan hal yg aneh lagi.

Aku tak mampu melupakannya
Sampai kini pun aku tak bisa melupakanmu, meski aku terus mencoba menghapus bayangan dirimu di pelupuk mataku, seakan aku tak kuasa melakukan semua itu, bayanganmu selalu hadir dalam mimpiku, menjelma sebagai sosok yang mencintaiku, mengasihi diriku seutuhnya, aku tak kuasa menolak mimpi itu, karena diriku selalu memikirkan dirimu.
Lelah aku akan semua keadaan ini, ingin rasanya kuhentikan mimpiku, membuang jauh jauh kenangan indah denganmu, yang membuat mimpi itu hadir, namun lagi-lagi aku tak kuasa, karena kendangan indah itu membuat diriku hidup, meski tak ku pahami apalah artinya hidupku.
Jangan kau tanyakan diriku mengapa aku terlalu larut dengan keadaan ini, seakan membiarkan ini semua berlaku padaku, atau apalah yang kau anggap diriku hanya orang yang bodoh, karena dirimu telah melupakan semua itu, kenangan manis bersamaku.

Corporate gifts are one of the most popular uses of promotional products. They appear as number one in a list produced by the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) in the US.
The remaining top ten uses are: trade shows, brand awareness, employee relations and events, public relations, dealer/distributor programmes, new customer/account generation, new product or service introduction, employee service awards, and non-profit fundraising programmes.
Other uses include customer referral, corporate communications, market research, public awareness campaigns, internal promotions, incentive schemes and encouraging brand loyalty.
Corporate gifts provide a unique way to promote a company's brand and message, although this must be done in a subtle rather than obvious way. Their main purpose is to show appreciation by rewarding loyal customers for their business and to build positive long-term relationships. This is quite different from inexpensive giveaways handed out at trade shows for example. Any branding on corporate gifts must be discreet or it might make the gift embarassing to use.
When selecting a corporate gift it is important to remember that the gift will reflect the company or brand - a quality brand therefore requires a quality product. Instead of having a positive influence, an unsuitable or unreliable product is likely to demotivate the recipient and devalue the brand.

The following is a list of all the ad networks and affiliate programs I use to make money online. They were chosen from this exhaustive list of 130 ad networks. I have used all the following networks at one time or another and can highly recommend them. They have proven to provide good service/support and most importantly, on time payments.
Kontera ContentLink
Kontera ContentLink allows you to make money from advertising without giving up any current advertising spots. Their technology reads your post and turns certain words into an ad. The highlighted words are double underline and an ad pops up when you hover over it. Normally Kontera requires a site have a minimum 500,000 page views per month before being accepted into the program. However, I have a partnership with Kontera that will allow smaller blogs to use their ContentLink service.
Fill out the application and enter “John Chow Kontera partnership” into the Comments field. The application is sent to my personal account representative. He will approve you based on your blog content and not your traffic level. This is a great way to use a service that is normally only available to high traffic sites.

Text Link Ads
Text Link Ads is one of my favorite ad networks. They help me make money online by selling those text links you see under “Featured Sites.” The links offer advertisers traffic and search engine benefits and readers don’t seem to mind them at all because they are not intrusive. Your link price is set by Text Link Ads and is based on Alexa, Google PageRank, number of RSS subscribers, and other factors.

If you don’t know what Google AdSense is then you’ve been living under a rock. This is pretty much a must have if you want to make money from a blog. Google display simple text and image ads on your blog that are targeted to what you’re writing about. Google has been a consistent money maker for this blog.

Bidvertiser, a CPC ad network that competes with Google AdSense. It main advantage over AdSense is its low $10 payout. You only need to make $10 in order to be paid. This is my own ad network. It’s ideal for technology and shopping related sites. TTZ Media Network offers a comparison shopping search engine for its affiliated sites. Right now, we’re working on a completely new ad engine that will allow me to accept sites with traffic that is lower than the current 250,000 page views requirement. I’ll make an update on this blog when the network comes out of beta.
FeedBurner Ad Network
FeedBurner provides CPM ads for both site and RSS feeds. The CPM rate can be get as high as $10 and publishers get 70% of the money. However, the fill rate is pretty low. If you’re looking to monetize your RSS feed, then FeedBurner is probably the best of the RSS ad networks. To join the FeedBurner Ad Network, you must first have FeedBurner power your RSS feed.

AGLOCO
AGLOCO offers a toolbar that display advertising. If you run the toolbar, they will give you a share of the ad money. They also pay you if you refer other people to use the toolbar. The more people you refer, the more you can potentially make. Currently, my network has over 13,000 people in it and it’s increasing by over 100 per day. AGLOCO is a startup and unproven. However, since the cost of entry is zero, you can’t lose anything for signing up. AGLOCO is also the only network here that doesn’t require you to have a site.

DealDotCom
DealDotCom offers a two-tier affiliate program. When you refer others to DealDotCom and they get a free account, they are marked in the system as having been referred by you. Anything that they buy will nets you a 35% commission. Unlike other affiliate programs that place a time limit your your commission (like AuctionAds’ 5% for 6 months), the DealDotCom commission is forever. That’s right, forever. It doesn’t matter if they buy something tomorrow, next week, or fifty years from now - you’re going to get paid. What’s more, anyone that they refer to DealDotCom goes on your second tier. Anything people on your second tier buy nets you a 15% commission, forever.

Dress Up Your Blog With Widgets
Widget for blog is the mantra that is raging as a top favorite among the blogging fraternity. If anything, a nice piece of widget increases interactivity of a blog, and yes it does a bit of fizz and flamboyance as well. The good news is there is no dearth of widget for blog, and if you’re willing to spend a little of your time, you’ll be spoilt with choices.
But before that, let’s see what is a widget. And what it is that is so exciting about having one or more of it in your blog.
A widget, rather a web widget, is a small chunk of code, usually a JavaScript or a Flash Script, which when embedded in a blog or website, presents a fascinating array of interactive information. The code snippet of widget comes ready for use, and so there’s no need of any programming skill to get going.
For example, if you’re a MyBlogLog user, you get a JavaScript widget that shows who among MyBlogLog users are recent readers of a blog or website. Yet another widget shows outgoing links that are clicked by your visitors, updated hourly.
In my blog-site, ab entertainment, I use a Widgetbox widget that automatically stores the recent posts. What’s more, it offers readers a no-hassle ready option to include the widget of my posts in their website. Cool indeed.
Okay, what Widgetbox does is reading the rss feed of a blog, and presenting the latest entries in an eye-catching fashion. As the feed updates with addition of posts, so does the widget, wherever it may be residing.
This is pretty much the same what many other widget management systems offer, for example SpringWidgets, owned by the same company that owns MySpace. In fact if you’re using the syndicated content service of FeedBurner (now owned by Google) like this blog, you may use the syndicated feed to create a widget for embedding in any website.
Wordpress, the popular blogging platform, allows a wide variety of blog-related widgets, like calendar, recent posts, recent comments, and so on that can be chosen to be shown in the sidebar of the blog.
Yet another popular widget from WhoLinked, when placed in your website, allows you to see real-time all the incoming links to it.

A Note Of Caution
Some widgets you get to see in the sites above are so cool that you may feel inclined to include quite a few of them in your site. Better don’t. Not for any apparent reason, but for the fact that the script that accompanies each widget takes time to load fully, and if several of them are there, then your blog page will take lot of time to display its full content.
Remember you’ll normally have other JavaScript that are important for your blog. So, use widget for blog with care.

The reason I approve of cyberspace is related to the fact that you can advertise online so much easier and less expensive than you can advertise on tv or even the radio. a blogger's toolkit
There are lots of alternatives for each of these blogging, monetizing and tracking tools. Here you’ll find a review of what I use on this blog and what I’m most satisfied with, or what I intend to use in the future. I’m not saying they are the only ones, I’m just sharing my personal experience with them, so you can take advantage of it. Some of the links are affiliate, which means that I’ll make money if you use them to sign up for those programs. Some others are simple links pointing to resources which helped me bring my blog at this level.
Web domain
Many people start with free Blogger accounts, only to realize very soon that it would have been better to buy their own domain name. If you can’t afford to spend approximately $8/year for the .com domain name, plus $3-$7/month for hosting, then you can set up your free account at blogger and start blogging in about five minutes (if you are not interesting in making money with your site, you can sign up for a free Wordpress.com account - be aware they don’t accept advertising on blogs).
However, if you want to build your personal brand, you may want to look for special hosting offers and go for your own domain name.
Bust a name is a site where you can play with words in order to generate domain names which suit best your blog’s niche. The tool shows you what combinations are available, and offers you the possibility to buy the discovered domains through www.GoDaddy.com

Web hosting
This blog is hosted on Dreamhost. Blogging software
This site uses Wordpress. I chose it because of a few considerents:
- It is easy to install (even if you don’t have one click installs in your hosting package, installing Wordpress is very easy and it does not require special programming knowledge)
- There are a lot of free themes (layout templates) available, plus a lot of free plugins (programs which offer additional functionalities to a blog, such as displaying a list of related articles at the end of each post, or allowing readers to edit their comments, or showing a list of your top commenters, or automatically create a sitemap, or even display contextual advertising)
- It has a user friendly administration panel
Money making sources
- Google AdSense: 60% of my online earnings come from this contextual pay-per-click advertising program. I’ve been using AdSense since one year already, and I can say that they are trustful, and they pay as promised in their terms of service. You have to make at least $100 before they’d issue a payment.
- Text Link Ads: my second money maker, accounting for 35% of my revenue. The minimum amount necessary to get paid is $25. However, if you choose to be paid by check and not PayPal, the bank would take some $10-$14 commission, so it would be better to raise the minimum amount at which you’ll be issued a check for your earnings. Upon accepting you into the program, Text Link Ads would give you a plugin which you’d install on your blog. When advertisers buy links, they will be shown as you can see in my sidebar, at Featured Sites section. You can display a maximum of 10 such links. Monetize Your Site with Text Link Ads and you’ll enter also their referrals program which will allow you to earn $25 for each person which joins the program via your referral link.
ReviewMe: You can write paid reviews for advertisers who order them via ReviewMe. If you get accepted, you have the possibility to set your own price for the reviews, and you may reject whatever advertisers you feel like being inappropriate for your blog. The reviews you write will be clearly labeled as “paid reviews” and you don’t have to always be positive (advertisers state their requirements when placing an order, so you will be able to reject those which are not in accordance with your policy). Review Me has an affiliate program which will bring you $25 for each advertiser who subscribes via your link and orders a review.
I’ll add other money making programs to this list as soon as I’ll be happy with their performance.
Monitoring & statistics
Statcounter: free, real time statistics program, helping you see the number of visits, unique & returning visitors, plus detailed statistics for the last 100 visits (referring sites, referring keywords, visit length, visitors by country and many more).
Google Analytics: free, detailed program, with options of defining goals and measuring success. However, it does not show statistics in real time.
103bees: free program, showing statistics for the past 30 days, split by organic and referral traffic; it is very useful because it shows for which search keywords people found your site, and which was your position for those keywords.
Networking
A new blog won’t get lots of traffic from search engines, so you have to use alternative ways of showing your work to people. Social networking can be a good start. These are a few networks I’ve had good experience with:
StumbleUpon: you need to install a toolbar in order to be able to use the program. Each time you see a site you like and you would like to recommend it to other stumblers, you press a toobar button and write a short comment. Then, the site goes into the system and it is shown to other people. The more positive votes (thumbs up) it gets, the more traffic it is sent.
Digg: all you need is to sign up in order to use it. When you like a page, you can submit it, so it will appear in the upcoming sites section. If other people like it and vote for it (digg it), your story may be promoted to the front page, bringing you tens of thousands visitors over the following hours.
Reddit: sign up, submit stories, give votes to stories you like. The principle stays the same, but the audience is different.
Del.icio.us: this can help you keep your bookmarks online. If many people bookmark the same page, it goes to the front page, resulting in a lot of traffic.
Searchles: smaller than the other ones, but it can bring in some constant traffic which lasts in time.
MyBlogLog: subscribe, put your face in there, put a widget on your blog, then you’ll be able to see who is visiting your site (look at the big pannel with pictures in my sidebar). Your blog will become a community. Other people will be able to subscribe to your community. Similarily, you can subscribe to other communities. It can bring some additional traffic to your blog, but don’t expect it to be huge.
